Due to military actions in eastern Ukraine, gas pipes and other vital facilities have been damaged in many towns. This resulted in 11 deaths of civilians due to freezing in Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region, in winter 2015. For many families with children and elderly people of eastern Ukraine, living through harsh Ukrainian winters with no gas supply has been especially hard.

The project is implemented through:

– Installing wood-burning stoves and hard-fuel boilers in the needy people’s homes;
– Purchase and distribution of firewood and hard fuel among the needy
