“CBN-Emmanuel” in partnership with “Pope for Ukraine” Initiative will provide vegetable seeds to about 10 thousand inhabitants of the front-line settlements of war-affected Donbas.
Last year, the “SEED” (Something To Eat Every Day) project was already implemented in eastern Ukraine providing seeds to 6,300 families. Thanks to the project, villagers were able to harvest over 700 tons of various vegetables!
This year, thanks to our partnership with “Pope for Ukraine” Initiative, not only shall we provide the war-affected people with seed material but also, we’ll grow the seeds of hope, faith and goodness in their hearts.
“CBN-Emmanuel” as an executive partner of “Pope for Ukraine” Initiative, has already procured seeds of various vegetables (except for potato seeds that will be procured in mid-April) to form 10,000 sets. The sowing material was delivered to the city of Slavyansk, Donetsk region, where it was unloaded for storage.
In 10 days, packaging will be finished and the delivery of packages to the coordinators of settlements (responsible persons and partner organizations) will be carried out.
Seed material will be distributed in 58 towns and villages of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions.
We are grateful to Pope Francis and all Catholic Christians from Europe who answered the Pope’s call for help the conflict-affected people of Donbass!
