People who were forced to flee their homes due to the war in Ukraine never wanted or expected Russian soldiers to come and “save” them.

A great calamity overtook us with the Russian invasion in February 2022. Most of Ukrainains became homeless without a roof over their heads and without a hope for building a future.

Russia is cynically continuing its military offensive against Ukraine, which has already killed confirmed 3,381 civilians, including over 200 children who died of Russian bombings and under the rubble of blown up houses. Tens of thousands of children and adults were seriously injured and even more disappeared.

Over 12 million Ukrainians have hastily left their homes and continue to evacuate escaping from shelling and bombing, forced to go to complete unknown leaving all their belongings behind. Despite the deadly danger awaiting them on the road and many deaths at the train stations, people continue to hastily leave their homes, hoping to find a peaceful sky overhead.

On the first day of the war, Emmanuel Association responded by providing vehicles and gasoline for the emergency evacuation of families with children.

With the financial support of the Convoy of Hope, volunteers managed to evacuate more than 5,000 people from Slovyansk, Krasnohorivka, Volnovakha, Rubizhne, Severodonetsk, Druzhkivka, and Vuhledar.

Thanks to the brave drivers who volunteered to risk their lives and caring people who donated money to provide transportation and gasoline, thousands of lives have been saved! We are grateful to the Convoy of Hopefor the saved souls!
