Thanks to the support of CBN-Emmanuel’s friends and partners, the family of Ruslan and Marina Gradobryansky were able to start a new life!
Ruslan and Marina, along with their 9-year-old son Artyom, were forced to leave Gorlovka back in 2014, when the war broke out in eastern Ukraine. They managed to buy a small old 2-rooms house on peaceful territory – in the outskirts of Slavyansk, Donetsk region. They brought their closest relatives – their mothers and an aunt – to live with them. However, the three elderly ladies had to go back to their war-affected home town of Gorlivka because the house required an urgent repair. Each day that their parents spent away from them in a very dangerous area was a real shock for Marina. Due to the family’s difficult financial situation, the repair could not be finished fast. Their last savings were spent very quickly no matter how hard Ruslan tried to provide for the family.
Luckily, CBN-Emmanuel in partnership with “Pope for Ukraine” Initiative were able to help Ruslan and Marina. CBN-Emmanuel team placed this family’s need in all of its media resources and people from all over the world had a chance to donate finances to support this family and help them reunite with their elderly parents. Over 50,000 UAH (around $2000) were donated by CBN-Emmanuel’s partners!
Thanks to the funding provided by “Pope for Ukraine” Initiative, a solid fuel boiler was installed in the Gradobryansky house.
In course of repairs in their house, all windows and the roof were replaced and one of the rooms was repaired!
After completion of repair works, Ruslan brought the three elderly family members to their new house! Now that the elderly women are in a safe place not affected by war, they will be cared for by their children.
We thank all of the caring people who responded to our call and helped Ruslan and Marina Gradobryansky start a new, peaceful life together with their closest relatives!
