Since the war started in Ukraine, the patients from all the Donetsk region are being brought to hospital in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region.

“There used to be four burn units in Donetsk region before – in Donetsk, Makeyevka, Mariupol and Kramatorsk. Now only two of themare lefts – the ones in Mariupol and Kramatorks. The number of patients with burns has grown significantly. There are patients with new kinds of traumas – with shell fragment wounds, with gunshot wounds, with large defects of soft tissues which require plastic wound closure. We’ve lived through very difficult times when we had many wounded patients and we were disastrously lacking needed medical equipment. ” – tells Oleg Vadimovich,  chief of burn unit.

Having learnt that the hospital desperately needs new beds, xeno-skin and equipment for surgeries and treatment, the team of «Emmanuel» Charity Association applied to its Partners for help. It was with their support that were able to provide the needed assistance to the hospital.
